MINUTES OF JUNE 4, 1975
June 4, 1975
The meeting was called to order and our attorney, Don Kramer, brought us up to date concerning the water contract with the South Highway district (tap on was specified and as an amendment to the contract, cost increase is specified as cost of utilities, as per FHA approval. Motion was made by Barbara Randleman, seconded by Dan McGuire that said amendment be accepted. Motion carried
A number of bills were presented by Wayman Presley to the board.
Mr. Nack’s bill for Engineering fees was presented for a total of $32,659.18 (to date) plus $550.00, the second bill was Engineer’s fees for the Water Tank site. A motion was made by Dan McGuire, seconded by N. B. Hartline Sr. that this bill be paid. Motion carried.
The Attorney’s Bill for the firm of James W. Sanders – Don E. Kramer their representative – agreeing to pay the first Attorney’s fees (this being the original Attorney for the water district) $18,640.00. Motion was made by Barbara Randleman, seconded by H. B. Hartline Sr. that this bill be paid as presented with said stipulation. Motion carried.
A Statement from the Bond Company of Borgy and Pitts, fees for Bond Ordnances and approval, in the amount of $1,425.00. Motion was made by H. B. Hartline Sr., seconded by Barbara Randleman to pay said bill. Motion carried.
Ridgeway and Decker Law Firm presented their bil for reviewing the contract with the South Highway Water District of $720.37. Motion to pay this bill was made by H. B. Hartline Sr., seconded by Dan McGuire. Motion carried.
Tank Security Bill was presented for $12,889.12. Motion was made by Barbara Randleman, seconded by Dan McGuire that this bill be paid to date. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Dan McGuire that a refund be given to all those who paid in excess of $100.00 to the water district, seconded by H. B. Hartline Sr. Motion carried.
Meeting then adjourned to the First National Bank of Carbondale; new accounts were established in accordance with FHA codes. Those given authority to sign checks were Wayman Presley (as chairman of the Board) C. R. Dusch (Trustee) and William D Walters (Secretary/Treasurer). All accounts requiring two of the three signatures.
Mr. Walters met us at the bank, presented the option of accepting the job of Secretary/Treasurer with his duties clearly devined and salary agreed on at $250.00 per month. Mr. Walters salary effective June 1, 1975.
