Meeting Minutes of December 8, 1981
Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Roll Call: Present – Mr. Douglas Mayer, Mr. Richard Jackson, Mr. James Simpson, Miss Pheobe Cox, Mr. William Hardenbergh, Mr. Walter Brieschke. Employees present – Mr. John Nannie and Mrs. Kim Forby.
Minutes of November meeting – Mr. Walter Brieschkke made a motion that the minutes of November 10, be corrected as follows:
- Insert $3,449.54 total, in the following sentence: “ Motion to pay the bills presented, $3,449.54 total, including the…”
- Delete the words “agreed on an…” and insert reviewed the in the following sentence under water rate increase proposal: “… Community Affairs reviewed the 11% increase to the customers.”
- Add the following phrase to the end of the sentence: “… increase to the customers, and found it adequate to meet the financial obligations of the district.”
- Insert “… at a cost of $2,278.45 to the sentence: “… purchase the Royfax 110 copier at a cost of $2,278.45 effective January 1, 1982.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Hardenbergh and passed by a voice vote – all in favor. Minutes of November Meeting approved.
Secretary/Treasurer report submitted by Mrs. Forby and approved.
Financial report submitted by Mrs. Forby and approved.
Presentation of the bills: Mr. Simpson made a motion to pay the bills presented in the amount of $3,532.39 total. Mr. Jackson seconded. Roll call vote: Mr. Mayer – yes, Mr. Jackosn – yes, Miss Cox – yes, Mr. Simpson – yes, Mr. Hardenbergh – yes,, Mr. Brieschke – yes. Motion passed.
Maintenance report submitted by Mr. Nannie.
Water Operator License – nothing.
Wall Maps – map size is not big enough to plot everything; Plan to ask FMHA for new blueprints as part of the grant money.
Phone Message Recorder – Motion was made by Mr. Simpson and seconded by Mr. Mayer to purchase a phone message recorder from Radio Shack for $200.00 or less. Roll call – Mr. Mayer – yes, Mr. Jackson – yes. Miss Cox – yes, Mr. Simpson – yes, Mr. Hardenbergh – yes, Mr. Brieschke – yes. Motion passed.
Water Conservation Committee – If a customer requests the conservation info packet it will be mailed to them free of charge.
Binder for Board members – Mr. Mayer and Mrs. Forby are to compile an example binder containing all the necessary papers each board member should have.
Alto Pass – nothing.
Court Case – In the court case with Mr. Pauls the Judge ruled in favor of the District less the charges for water loss of $192.50 leaving a balance due of $559.50 as of November 17, 1981.
Grant Application – the District has been invited to submit a final grant application to FMHA due January 15, 1982.
Motion to proceed with the final grant application made by Mr. Hardenbergh and seconded by Mr. Simpson. Roll call vote: Mr. Mayer – yes, Mr. Jackson – yes, Miss Cox – yes, Mr. Simpson – yes, Mr. Hardenbergh – yes, Mr. Brieschke – yes. Motion passed.
Motion to approve the photo copier machine rules made by Mr. Jackson and seconded by Mr. Hardenbergh. Passed by voice vote – all in favor.
