MINUTES: SEPTEMBER 9, 1975 PRESLEY TOUR’S BUILDING MAKANDA ILLINOIS

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Wayman Presley.  The meeting was turned over to Mrs. Mabel Schwartz who gave reasons why the board should consider or re-evaluate the running of the water line to the Harry Williams property (now owned by Mrs. Schwartz).  She signed up in good faith for one tap and her $100.00 was accepted. Mrs. Schwartz indicates she will take additional taps, as many as four if the board agrees to run the taps or line along the original surveyed water line along said property line.  Motion was made by Barbara Randleman that as the water lines near completion, special consideration be given Mrs. Schwartz and others with the same situation.  Seconded by H. B. Hartline Sr.  An amendment to that motion was made by Dan McGuire, when the time comes for the water line to be laid on Mrs. Schwartz’s property her tap fee will remain at $100.00.  The amendment was seconded by C. R. Dusch.  Motion carried.

A report was given by C. I. Ryoo, an associate of R. A. Nack, on the water storage tank progress.  They are at this time 4% behind schedule due to the color of the tank. (The three colors of RED, WHITE and BLUE would cost an additional fee).

A motion was made by H. B. Hartline Sr. that since a combination of colors were not in the contract, the tank be painted a lemon yellow with a smile.  Motion was seconded by Bette Casey  An independent pole was taken with all voting yes, but one, Barbara Randleman abstaining.

The board voted to pay the bills presented by the Engineers: R. A. Nack and Associates, L. D. Fern Construction Company—each being paid to date.

Motion was made by C. R. Dusch, the people he refunded the money paid in excess of $100.00 tap fee, seconded by Dan McGuire.  Motion carried.  Mr. Walters as Treasurer is to do so as soon as possible with one exception.  Wayman Presley agreed to wait on his money. (This way everyone else would receive all their money at one time).
