Minutes: May 11, 1976 Buncombe Water District Presley Tour’s Building Makanda, Illinois
Meeting called to order at 4:30 P.M. by chairman, Wayman Presley. Chairman ask for a report from the Engineer, C. I. Ryoo, Representing R. A. Nack and Associates, Inc•• Mr. Ryoo reports that Contract #1 with L. D. Fern Construction Company is 100 per-cent complete and ask the balance of the contract be paid in the amount of $23,877.20. (This being the balance as per attached copy, itemized) Final inspection completed and the proper papers signed to consummate payment of contract.
Mr. Ryoo submitted the bill of R. A. Nack and Associates, Inc. for the Engineering and Resident inspection to date in the amount of $293.80
Motion Made by Dan McGuire that these bill be authorized for payment by District Secretary/Treasurer w. D. Walters, seconded by H.B. Hartline Sr.

Mr. George Clary, representative for Security Tank Company, reports the conditions not favorable for painting of the Water Tank and ask for an extension of 45 additional days; Date of extension from May 9th. Motion made by H. B. Hartline Sr. seconded by Barbara Randleman that the extension be granted, beginning May 9th, 1976 and through the 45 day, with a written schedule be submitted to R. A. Nack and Associates. Motion carried.
Mr. Walters, Secretary/Treasurer of Water District presented bill for payment as follows:

#3 Material and labor for installing a meter, George Sides $210.00 #4 Stiles Office Supply (accounting Books) 35.15
#5 Water Bill from South Highway District. 515.10
#6 Insurance Bond (for District Treasurer “FIDELITY” 12 mos. 250.00 Motion made by Dan McGuire that Mr. Walters, as Treasurer be authorized to pay these bills as submitted and that Mr. Walters prepare a copy of bills being presented to the board for payment, prior to meeting in order that each member might have time to go over the bills before approving for payment. Motion seconded by Bette Hartline Casey, motion carried.
Motion was made by Bette Casey that any motion made heretofore be to collect a $25.00 deposit from a land owner, living on his property and user, be exempt, but that a $25.00 deposit be collected on rental property, motion seconded by H. B. Hartline Sr. motion carried. Wayman ask Don Cramer, our Attorney to prepare an ordinance to this effect along with a list of land owners for the Treasurer.
Motion was made by Barbara Randleman seconded by H.B. Hartline Sr. that the date the Meter is read also appear on the water bill. Motion carried
Wayman ask for a report to be made next meeting to consider any. Alternate
extensions.. Motion made by Dan McGuire if any family dwelling using over 10,000 gal be checked and all excessive users be reported and records made available for the board, this report should be made-by George sides or the maintenance man. Motion seconded by Barbara Randleman, motion carried.
