Meeting Minutes of September 11, 1979
Cecilia Cottingham will submit a formal letter of resignation to the Buncombe Public Water Board and to Mary Nell Chew of the Jackson County Board.
Discussion of Customer Taps:
- Floyd Allen’s letter of application for Trailer Park tap. Tabled until application is checked.
- Rainbow: Discussion. Motion made by Trustee Hastings to charge Dr. Rainbow $300.00 for tap. Seconded by R. Jackson. On roll call vote: B. Schauwecker – nay, R. Jackson – yea, John Hastings – yea, John Hawkins – yea. Motion carried. Secretary will write a letter to Dr. Rainbow informing him of board decision.
- Casteel: Letter will be sent to her that difficulty or hardship period is over and will be charged the regular tap fee. Carbon copies will be sent to the Board, John Nannie, and the renter.
- Nannie – tabled.
Report Cobden Water Committee: No developments.
Board approved the purchase of a new seal for the District.
Report on South Highway Meeting: Delegates John Hastings and Walk Brieschke reported that South Highway will charge the District $1.60 until 1980, the remainder of the bill will be due on February 1980. No interest will be charged. They want two copies of the audit report when completed.
IEPA sent a letter regarding violations.
Mary Nell Chew will send the district records on boundaries etc.
Maintenance report presented by Chairman for John Nannie. Committee reports on job description and responsibilities and problem areas were deferred.
Discussion of moving meeting day to Wednesday so the Maintenance person can be present. Next board meeting will be Wednesday, Oct 10, 1979.
Motion by John Hastings to adjourn the September meeting. Seconded by J. Hawkins. Vote: Unanimous. Motion carried.
