BuncombePWD Needs Your Help

The rolling hills and woodland areas of Southern Illinois offer all rural Water Districts the challenge of identifying and repairing leaks and water main breaks.

Modern technological devices and mathematical calculations assist in alerting us of a problem but are unable to tell us exactly where to find a leak. Many times this is like trying to find the needle in a haystack.

At this time we suspect we have a leak, which we have been unable to locate. We’re losing water; we’re losing money.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Your assistance will be very much appreciated and positive results from your efforts may have a major impact on the financial status of this facility. Please help us by:

  • walking around your own property and make note of areas that seem unusually wet, have standing water, or water flowing;
  • walking around your neighborhood or other public areas in the District to look for an unusual accumulation or flow of water;
  • asking your friends and neighbors in the District to do the same;
  • and finally, by calling the Emergency number 618/924-3408 or the District Office 618/549-0432 to report areas you suspect may have a water leak.

WATER DISTRICT OFFICE CLOSED – August 23 thru September 2

The District Office will be closed from August 23, 2019, through September 2, 2019, and will reopen for regular business on Tuesday, September 3rd.

With the exception of “paying in person†at the District Office, all other payment options are available and will be monitored daily. Payment options are outlined on the District Website at www.BuncombePWD.com.

For non-emergency requests for information, please call and leave a message at the District Office at 618/549-0432, utilize our Contact Page at www.Buncombe PWD.com, or email us to [email protected]. These messages will be addressed when the office reopens on September 3rd during normal business hours.

For EMERGENCIES ONLY, please call the Water Supply Operator at 618/924-3408. Please note that he will be unable to assist you with questions related to your Account, billing, payments, or any other normal office business.
