Meeting Minutes January 12, 1976
Meeting was called to order by chairman Wayman Presley promptly at 4:30 P.M.• The board was brought up to date by Wayman on the amount of water users, to date 192.
Mr. C. I. Ryoo, representative for R. A. Nack and Associates, gave ..
the monthly engineering report: on the contracts No. 1 Water distribution system, with L. D. Fern and No. 2 Water storage tank.
c. I. reports item #1, L. D. Fern Construction being 95% completed and recomends a partial payment of $5,150.11 be paid for December.
Item #2, Security Tank and Tower Corporation: The water tank is leaning some 3 inches, the company have been informed of said problem and the engineers have been assured this will be corrected. c. I recomends
the board approve a partial payment of $4,124.52 be paid, but no ex tension be granted if the water tank is not completed on time. The construction is approximately 88% completed at this time.
Motion was made by Dan McGuire that L. D. Fern Construction and Security Tank and Tower Corporation be paid as presented, Barabara
Randleman seconded the motion. Motion carried. Mr. Walters so directed.
FHA representative Mr. John Hammel informed the board of some of the forth-coming needs .of the Water district as completion becomes a reality. Some form of office needs to be set up with a phone, in order that complaints, leeks, broken water mains might be reported. Again he stresses the need for a person, with class C licensed plumer rating
be haired. Wayman submitting the name of George Sides and Barbara submitting Jerry Coffman’s name as possibles. Wayman is to contact each of the men to see if they qualify and/or instrested. Mr. Hammel stressed the need for a licensed operator be hired as monthly samples of the water must be made and sent to the State Laboratory.
Mr. Ryoo also informed the board of the need of some kind of a automatic system for the pump will need to be purchased. He has contacted the telephone company for prices: $60.00 for instalation, $109.95 per month there after, another consideration is Radio transister or telemetering system: cost 13,500 to 4,000 –maintenance $20.00 per month. C. I. further reports that there is a possibility, after all bills are paid there will be a few dollars in the kitty.
