Meeting Minutes of June 9, 1981
Meeting called to order at 7:02 p.m.
Roll call – present – Mr. Doug Mayer, Mr. Bill Hardenbergh, Miss Pheobe Cox, Mr. James Simpson, Mr. Richard Jackson, Mr. Walter Brieschke. Employees present – Mr. John Nannie and Ms. Marsha Hartline.
Minutes of previous meeting approved.
Secretary/Treasurer Report – approved. (copy attached)
Customer Complaints:
Mr. Brieschke explained the right to privacy act to the customers (Mrs. Wilson, Mr. Braden, and Mr. Craig), they all understood and declined a private session. (Mr. McCleland came in late.)
- Mrs. Wilson asked about the easement for her property. She stated that she had talked to a Mr. Kayser in Nashville (FmHA) about her bill. Her bill is now $658.85. Mrs. Wilson paid her bill in full and asked that the lien be removed from her property. The realtor who is selling her property is Alice Limpus.
- Mr. Braden still says that his signature is forged, and that he will talk to Wayman Presley before he proceeds further.
- Mr. Craig suggested that we fence around some of the flush hydrants which present hazards in the fields.
- Mr. Van Aukin paid $50.00 towards his $742.17 bill. Mr. Brieschke is to send him a letter explaining how long it will take him to pay it off at that rate.
- The judge has dismissed the case with Mr. Pauls.
Presentation of the bills – Accounts Payable list attached. Motion by Mr. Simpson to pay these bills, seconded by Mr. Hardenbergh. Roll call vote – Mr. Mayer, yes; Mr. Jackson, yes; Mr. Simpson, yes; Miss Cox, yes; Mr. Hardenbergh, yes. All approved.
Maintenance report – John will present his typed report to Walt Brieschke on Wednesday, June 10, 1981.
Water Conservation Committee – They will continue to research, and hopefully get a better response in the future.
Hiring Committee – Now have five applications. They will begin to interview next week.
Wall Maps – no progress.
Discussion and action on Maintenance and Physical Plant Report – Motion to ask Wilson Electric to install the additional outlets as needed in the pump station. Motion my Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Jaclson. Roll call vote – Mr. Mayer, yes; Mr. Jackson, yes; Mr. Simpson, yes; Mr. Hardenbergh, yes; Miss Cox, yes. All approved.
Water Rate Survey: presented by Mr. Brieschke.
Suggested purchase of manual – Motion to purchase made by Mr. Jackson, seconded by Mr. Simpson. Roll call vote – Mr. Mayer, yes; Mr. Jackson, yes; Mr. Simpson, yes; Miss Cox, yes; Mr. Hardenbergh, yes. All approved.
