Meeting Minutes of August 10, 1977
A representative from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency reported that we needed to report every 3 months on amount of water purchased, and send in samples, and make periodic chlorine tests and report results. We also must have a qualified operator.
Barbara Schauwecker brought up the Makanda Volunteer Fire Dept., how water was being provided, the truck should have a meter. It was recommended that the matter be brought before the Makanda Town Board.
The late fee on the water bills is currently being ignored but must .be kept and enforced after 30 days.
There are 30 users on new 5 interested in water. It was decided that
R. A. Nack and Associates do a feasibility study of adding this area to the current water district. Motion made by Jack Earll, and seconded by Barbara Schauwecker.
Henry Colson needs to be paid for hookups, and cutoffs, at $3.50 per hour, he is to submit a monthly bill. The user is charged $5.00per trip.
